How the P.A.P.A. Works

How the P.A.P.A. Works

The P.A.P.A. (Positive Air Pressure Attenuator) attenuates (slows down) the positive transients found in the drainage system of the high-rise building. These positive transients have an average volume of 2 litres of air, which is travelling backwards through the system at the speed of sound (320m/s).
These positive transients are slowed down by the P.A.P.A. in no more than half a second to less than 12 m/s, thus protecting the water seals within the building.
