Today is International Women in Engineering Day (#INWED2017) – a day of recognition of the contribution that women have to offer engineering under the patronage of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organization). This week has seen a programme of national and international events across the globe aimed at "[raising] the profile of women in engineering and [focussing] on the amazing career opportunities available to girls in this exciting industry.”

Whilst Studor recognises the contributions that engineers of any gender have to offer the industry, it is a documented fact that women constitute a small percentage of engineers versus men. Accordingly, in support of #INWED2017, each day this week the Studor blog has featured an article or short interview with a variety of international female engineers:

Monday 19 June: INWED article

Tuesday 20 June: Tanya Ibrahim, Engineer for Plastics, Pipes, and Fittings Department at NSF International(USA)

Wednesday 21 JuneMaribel Adia-Lim, Principal Public Health Engineer from ARCADIS Design & Consulting (Philippines)

Thursday 22 June: Nicola Schofield, Building Energy Modelling Senior Consultant for BRE (UK)
